Encrypting & Decrypting Tokens

We want to make sure that your sensitive data is always protected, that is why we are introducing a new feature in WrangleBot. From now on, you will be able to encrypt and decrypt your token with a four-digit pin of your choice.

Encrypting your token is crucial to prevent unauthorized access to your database. With encryption, you can rest assured that your data is always safe and secure. Encrypting with a PIN also allows you to change pins quickly in case operational changes take place, without having to share your precious token or manage large batches of tokens and track their ownership.

Please note that the PIN is only valid for the machine it was set on, and you can have multiple PINs per token, but only one per instance. In case you have already encrypted your token with a password via a previous version of WrangleBot, you can simply press the "Reset PIN" link in the prompt and re-enter your credentials.

We hope that you find this new feature useful and that it provides better protection for your important data.

General

• We've made some exciting updates to our app! Interactive Elements now have rounded borders, while non-interactive elements have right-angle borders.
• We've also improved the contrast between columns and adjusted the color and brightness for better visual distinction between layers.
• The "Switch Library" dropdown has been moved to the left side for better indication of the selected library in the tab.
• We've also added basic mobile responsiveness, so you can use the app on your tablet or phone.
• The "folder-select" element has been polished, allowing you to close and unfocus the element with "ESC" and click folders without defocusing the text field.
• Additionally, switches now have a hover effect for better indication of when you can interact with them. Try out these new features and let us know what you think!

Library Management

• Removed the transaction stats from library elements.
• Added spacings and improved contrast.
• Added visual indicators if the library is mounted or in read-only.

Ingesting

• You can now select mounted volumes as a destination and leave the destination empty to ingest files in place.
• "Manual"-Tab is now the default for destinations
• "Auto"-Tab has been reworked to better resemble a folder browser.
• Plus, there's a new "Show in Finder" button to quickly view your library in macOS Finder 👀.
• The Watch Folder feature works now (promise!) 🤞.
• And the Task Settings button text changes to "Add & Run Task" or "Add Task" when you toggle "Execute Task".

Gallery

• Thumbnails will update themselves correctly now when the user switches through pages or uses the search function.
• Added a "Generate Thumbnails" button at the top, in addition to the context menu button that already exists. Select files by toggling their row numbers on the left side.

Machine Learning

• Added the facial attributes model to the auto-tagger. If a face can be detected, it will guess age, sex, and emotional state.

Transcoding

• Transcode Builder has been slightly re-layouted.
• Added icons for better clarity.
